Emageon will show off updates for its Enterprise Visual Medical System (EVMS).
New features added to System Release 5.30 include Technologist QC, a native quality control tool that runs in EVMS' advanced visualization environment. Technologist QC provides a streamlined process and enables users to correct errors before interpretation occurs, according to the Birmingham, AL-based vendor.
Users can edit demographics, merge patients or studies, split studies, renumber images, match information on the modality worklist, and correct images, all from any secure workstation located inside or outside the enterprise, Emageon said.
Emageon has also incorporated Personal Content Management (PCM), a tool that distributes an entire user environment throughout the enterprise. Users can subscribe to folders to initiate streaming of studies from the selected folders. PCM stores encrypted versions of the retrieved studies locally, improving performance, Emageon said.
In other introductions, Emageon has added an Enhanced Web Admin toolset for PACS administrators, radiology IT, and radiology directors. The admin tool includes data mining capabilities including reports, configuration tools, audit logs, and policy-based deletion settings, according to the firm. It can be operated from any secure workstation inside or outside the enterprise, Emageon said.
