(Booth 2812) American Medical Sales (AMS) of Hawthorne, CA, will highlight several enhancements to its portfolio of workstation and PACS software, including additional DICOM file support and RIS/PACS functionality.

AMS will take the opportunity to release an integrated PACS and computed radiography (CR) offering in the U.S. Already available in Europe, the package combines AMS' Image Vault PACS-in-a-Box product with Alara's CRystalView CR system.

AMS also will discuss its integrated RIS/PACS capability, thanks to a partnership with

RIS vendor ADS. In addition, the company will introduce new equipment upgrades for its PACS-in-a-Box and Midas PACS lines.

AMS also will roll out version 4.0 of its workstation software, which features integrated DICOM file input functionality, key image annotation, multiple CD recording options, advanced DICOM print functions, and image routing rules.
