(Booth 8328) McKesson Provider Technologies of Atlanta will discuss new mammography capabilities added for the 11.5.1 release of its Horizon Medical Imaging PACS software.
With the latest release, Horizon Medical Imaging can provide a single workstation software package for both general radiologists and dedicated mammographers, according to the vendor. It includes customizable preferences, multiple phased views of screening and diagnostic studies through built-in stages, and "smart" image placement/orientation, McKesson said.
The workstation software can accommodate all breast imaging technologies, including comparison of images and studies across vendors or modalities, McKesson said. Images and results are made available across the clinical enterprise, and to referring physicians at home or in the office.
In other McKesson news, the company will present Horizon Study Share, a Web-based application designed to aid radiologists, cardiologists, and other imaging specialists in organizing and sharing images and reference case information during daily practice. It provides reference case management, clinical conferencing capabilities, and teaching files, McKesson said.
