(Booths 4029 and 8944) At the RSNA show this year, NDS Surgical Imaging of San Jose, CA, will introduce two new displays, Dome Z10 and Dome E3c High-Bright, both acquired through the firm's purchase of Dome Imaging Systems in August 2008.
Dome Z10 includes a 30-inch, 10-megapixel widescreen to view current and prior patient information simultaneously, eliminating the center bezel for easy image comparison. It also includes workflow improvements for multimodality reading and open architecture support, as well as automatic DICOM calibration. NDS may be targeting mammography for Dome Z10, but the company also noted that it has multimodality applications.
The Dome E3c High-Bright 3-megapixel color display is designed to eliminate the need to switch displays for color and grayscale imaging, and it includes high brightness for improved image interpretation, open architecture support, and automatic DICOM calibration. NDS is promoting the display for multimodality imaging applications, including color ultrasound, CT, MRI, computer-aided detection, PET/CT fusion, and 3D image viewing.
Dome Z10 and Dome E3c High-Bright will be shown as works-in-progress; they are scheduled for commercial release in early 2009.
