(Booth 5621) Codonics of Middleburg Heights, OH, will feature a number of new printer offerings at the 2008 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The firm will spotlight its new expanded Virtua medical disk publisher family. Targeted at multimodality or high-volume imaging applications, Virtua XR records up to 60 CDs or 30 DVDs an hour based on a typical clinical study with a full-color label, Codonics said.
Virtua Eco features a compact footprint and is directed primarily at handling a single modality at an economical price point. It can utilize a single media type, either CD or DVD.
Codonics also will again display its Horizon multimedia dry imager line. A long-paper version of its Horizon XL long-film imager will be shown as a work-in-progress.
In other product developments, Codonics will introduce its Integrity medical image importer. Integrity reads, reconciles, and stores medical studies from a disk into a PACS.
Employing rule-based search capabilities to reconcile external studies with a facility's modality worklist and local PACS, Integrity automatically performs multiple searches to match study demographics, according to the vendor. A Web-based interface provides for multiuser access.
