MediaWriter is now able to integrate reports from DICOM Structured Report and HL7 feeds, according to the Pleasanton, CA-based firm. MediaWriter D200 features Epson's Discproducer and includes an embedded DICOM viewer to create complete and portable medical records.
In PacsScan developments, PACSGear has added the ability to send electronic information, such as Microsoft Word documents, PDF files, and reports, as well as electronic medical record, cardiology, and RIS information, directly to a PACS or electronic medical record. In addition, the company said it has incorporated its Print2PACS functionality into PacsScan. The latest version of PacsScan also supports Microsoft Vista.
