Teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic of Minneapolis has completed the installation of its vRad PACS software for radiologic case processing.
Internet-based vRad PACS replaces commercial software previously used by Virtual Radiologic. vRad PACS is now being used by the company's 140 radiologists to perform clinical interpretations on radiologic cases from more than 7,400 different image sending devices located at more than 1,150 medical facilities across the U.S., according to the firm.
vRad PACS technology also will be included in an upcoming release of Virtual Radiologic's software as a service technology offering called vRad Enterprise Connect.
