Laurel Bridge rolls out new Compass release

Software developer Laurel Bridge Software has released version 2.1.35 of its Compass DICOM store-and-forward routing application.

New features include an "immediate mode" processing option, which allows Compass to route and forward images while an incoming study is still being received, according to the vendor. Laurel Bridge said it has also incorporated transport layer security (TLS) and SSL secure communication enhancements for use with these transfers.

Other enhancements include improved logging for destination configuration and for Compass' Automatic Heartbeat Sensing network status monitoring; expanded rules for selectively matching text-based DICOM tags; and hot folder operational improvements, Laurel Bridge said.
