PACS software developer DR Systems has been awarded a new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
U.S. Patent No. 8,094,901 describes a method of matching medical images according to user-defined matching rules, the company said. For example, the matched medical images can be displayed according to user-defined display rules, such that the matched images can be visually compared in a manner suitable to the viewer's preferences.
