Radiology consortium Strategic Radiology has partnered with data management firm Mach7 Technologies to allow its independent member groups to securely exchange clinical data using a new tool.
The new tool, SR Connect, allows members of Strategic Radiology to connect with each other through a central hub powered by the Mach7 platform.
Mach7 will provide the infrastructure and IT needs to enable aggregation and routing of HL7 and DICOM files through the tool. Strategic Radiology members will be able to share data with other group members and outside, affiliated organizations, including the Strategic Radiology Patient Safety Organization and Strategic Radiology's business group Rad-IQ.
Strategic Radiology expects SR Connect to launch in the first quarter of 2020. The company will pilot the program with a blinded peer improvement project. Practices that choose to participate will be the first to use SR Connect.
