Healthcare information systems vendor Change Healthcare has acquired the Nucleus.io software platform from NucleusHealth of San Diego.
The Nucleus.io platform includes a zero-footprint diagnostic image viewer with streaming technology, workflow, and image-sharing functionality, according to Change. The acquisition completes Change's medical image management platform.
The acquisition will accelerate Change Healthcare's timeline to implement a complete cloud-based, end-to-end enterprise imaging platform with customers and will expand its market by leveraging the approximately 7,500 organizations served by Nucleus.io, Change said.
