PACS vendor Sectra has signed an agreement with Mexican university National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to provide medical education using Sectra's cloud-based teaching software.
Sectra Education Portal allows for interactive medical instruction with real-life clinical cases and can be accessed by thousands of students and teachers from any location. UNAM teachers and students will also be able to use large, immersive, and interactive touch screens, Sectra Boards and Sectra Tables, as part of the deal.
In the first phase of this agreement, Sectra's software will be used by 3,000 students and will eventually expand across various departments, the firm said.
UNAM is among the 30 largest universities in the world, with approximately 360,000 students, of whom 13,000 are medical students.
