Del Medical shows Q3 sales growth

Del Medical Systems Group turned in fiscal third-quarter 2004 sales of $17.4 million, up 29.8% compared with $13.4 million during the same period last year.

Operating income at the group increased to $1.6 million from $105,000 in the period a year earlier, according to parent company Del Global Technologies. The firm did not break out net income figures for the group.

The group contributed approximately more than two-thirds of net sales to its parent company in the third quarter (end-May 1). Sales growth for the Valhalla, NY-based Systems Group was attributed to higher international sales, which offset slightly lower domestic sales, as well as favorable exchange rates from its Villa Sistemi Medicali subsidiary, according to the company.
