Digital sales fuel Kodak revenue growth

Sales rose 11% in Eastman Kodak's Health Imaging division during the second quarter, while operating earnings slipped slightly, according to the Rochester, NY, vendor.

For the quarter (end-June 30), Kodak reported Health Imaging sales of $672 million, compared with sales of $607 million in the second quarter of 2003. The company’s operating earnings on an operational and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis were $128 million, compared with $131 million in the same period the year before.

Kodak said a highlight of the quarter in the health division was an increase of 22% in sales of digital products and services.
