Del Medical Systems Group reported fiscal 2006 second-quarter net sales of $19 million million, a slump compared with the $22.9 million reported a year ago. Prior year sales reflected international shipments of $4.4 million with no such activity in the pipeline for the current period, Del said.
For the quarter (end-January 28), the Valhalla, NY-based firm had operating income of $1.3 million, down more than 100% compared with operating income of $2.9 million last year. Del attributed the drop to lower overall sales and an income tax provision for the pretax income generated by its Italian subsidiary, Villa Sistemi Medicali.
