Siemens expands in Indiana

Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, plans to open a distribution center in Plainfield, IN, for its diagnostics business and create 80 jobs at the facility in the next 12 months.

Inside Indiana Business reports that Siemens will consolidate distribution operations from other states and lease an existing 300,000-sq-ft facility in that community.

The move comes with the help of Indiana Economic Development, which offered Siemens up to $535,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $67,500 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans.
