Imaging software developer Cedara Software has introduced I-Acquire/FD, a film-scanning console application. I-Acquire/FD allows hospitals and clinics to convert film libraries into digital format, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm.
The software can be deployed in hospitals and clinics with or without a PACS network, and can digitize multiple films consecutively, Cedara said. Film digitizer parameters can be controlled directly from the application, which also includes image enhancement tools.
