GE Healthcare of Waukesha, WI, launched new visualization and navigation options for its FluoroTrak 9800 Plus C-arm at last week’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons meeting in San Francisco.
The new options are available on the unit’s surgical imaging workstation, and allow orthopedic surgeons to take initial AP and lateral spine images and automatically register fluoroscopic images to the patient’s anatomy. This enables surgeons to create an environment that simulates bi-plane fluoroscopy while reducing overall dose, according to the company.
