Cardinal debuts Medicanvas illuminator, inks RSD deal

Healthcare products firm Cardinal Health Radiation Management Services has launched Medicanvas, a new x-ray film illuminator, and the company has signed a distribution agreement with Radiology Support Devices (RSD) of Long Beach, CA.

Medicanvas is a 1-inch (2.5-cm) TFD-LCD viewbox that is scheduled to last for 20,000 hours versus 3,000 hours for viewboxes using conventional bulbs, according to the firm.

In other news, the Cleveland-based firm said it has become the exclusive worldwide distributor for RSD products. RSD is a supplier of anthropomorphic phantoms and related products for radiology, radiation therapy, and nuclear medicine
