Podcast: Academic radiologists outline the importance of DEI efforts

Medical Staff Team

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in radiology are key not only to recruiting and retaining staff but also to caring for a diverse patient population. In this podcast, AuntMinnie.com spoke with Florence Doo, MD, of the University of Maryland; Efren Flores, MD, of Mass General Brigham; and Elizabeth McFarland, MD, of Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology about the current DEI legislative environment and how radiologists can best support DEI efforts, both within their departments and in the broader political arena. The three recently published a research letter on the topic in the Journal of the American College of Radiology with co-authors Jordan Perchik, MD; Nicole Hindman, MD; Judy Yee, MD; and Marques Bradshaw, MD.
