Final attendance numbers released this week by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) show attendance at the Oak Brook, IL, society's annual meeting rising slightly over the previous year, but still hitting a record number of attendees.
The RSNA reported total attendance of 62,501 attendees, up 1% compared with 61,976 attendees at the 2006 meeting. The society tallied 26,325 professional attendees (physicians and other nonvendor professionals), representing growth of 2% over the previous year's figure of 25,772.
The meeting's increasingly international character was highlighted by growth in the number of professional attendees from outside the U.S. At 8,792 attendees, the 2007 figure represented growth of 7% compared with 8,210 attendees the year before.
