RSNA technical exhibit to occupy three halls

The RSNA is expanding its technical exhibit of medical imaging vendors at this year's annual conference to three halls in Chicago's McCormick Place convention center, from the two that have been used in years past.

The technical exhibit will now span Hall A in the South Building, Hall B in the North Building, and Hall D in Lakeside Center. In the past, only the South and North buildings were used for technical exhibits, while Lakeside Center was reserved for educational exhibits and scientific posters. The RSNA announced the new configuration in the July issue of its RSNA News publication.

"The new configuration provides access to technical exhibits in any of the three buildings and is intended to reduce the need to trek long distances across McCormick Place," according to Dr. Jonathan Alexander, chair of the RSNA Technical Exhibits Committee.

Alexander said the largest imaging vendors will be distributed among the three halls, among a mix of smaller and mid-sized vendors. More space will be allocated in each of the exhibit areas for food vendors and seating, including a new RSNA Bistro dining concept, he said.

The RSNA has had a record number of exhibits in the last two years, Alexander said, with technical exhibits occupying over 500,000 square feet of space and 757 exhibitors.
