Imaging services provider SimonMed Imaging has named Scott Flamm, MD, as its new chief medical information officer (CMIO).

Flamm was formerly head of cardiovascular imaging at the Cleveland Clinic and brings decades of experience in cardiac imaging, SimonMed said. In the role, Flamm will ensure that patients and healthcare providers have access to advanced cardiac MRI technology, expert advice, and a quality experience, the company said.
Flamm completed a fellowship in cardiovascular imaging and MRI at the University of California, San Francisco and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
