Nuclear medicine physician found guilty of sexual assault

The former head of nuclear medicine at Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, has been found guilty of sexual assault, according to an August 30 report by CTV News.

Stephan Probst, 46, was on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman at his penthouse on Aug. 28, 2020, along with Wendy Devera, 30, his girlfriend, who was also charged in the case. The victim, who met Probst and Devera online, claimed she was drugged, and while she had agreed to have sex with Devera, she said she never agreed to have sex with both of them, according to the report.

The pair will be sentenced in September, and both face lengthy sentences, CTV News said.

According to an earlier news report by the Gazette, an undated article posted on Jewish General’s website said Probst “previously led” the Division of Nuclear Medicine. He is also listed on McGill University’s website as an assistant professor in the department of diagnostic radiology.
