Eastman Kodak Health Imaging has opened a health imaging and technology innovation center to develop localized medical imaging and information solutions for Asia-Pacific customers in Pudong, Shanghai, China.
The 2,500-square-meter (8,000-square-foot) facility will also serve as an operations center to provide remote services and prestaging of customer equipment prior to installation. It will also be a showcase for the company’s medical imaging and information products and solutions.
In addition, the building will be the headquarters for HI’s Asia-Pacific services and research and development organizations, Kodak said. The center is capable of demonstrating Kodak’s entire line of medical imaging and information products in a simulated workflow environment, according to the Rochester, NY-based firm.
The Shanghai center will also serve as home to Kodak product, application, and services specialists for integrating medical imaging and information systems, such as archives, PACS, and RIS, the company said.
