John Patrick University (JPU) of Health and Applied Sciences and imaging education company Advanced Imaging Review are introducing the “Grow Your Own” program.
The program is designed to help hospitals and health systems train existing employees for medical imaging careers. It offers educational pathways at multiple career stages, including the following:
- Employees in roles such as patient transport, front-desk operations, and administrative support can pursue education to become radiologic technologists.
- Limited-scope radiologic technologists can work toward broader radiography qualifications.
- Qualified radiologic technologists can train in additional imaging modalities through Advanced Imaging Review.
Employees can pursue the credentials while continuing to work, subject to program requirements and clinical scheduling, and participating organizations can explore employer-sponsored education and scholarship options, according to the organizations.
