Contrast injector firm Medrad has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for its SimpliCT interventional guidance system. SimpliCT uses a laser beam to improve accuracy of CT-guided puncture procedures, according to the Indianola, PA-based firm. Medrad is the exclusive distributor of SimpliCT, which is manufactured by Norwegian firm NeoRad.
