Imatron ships 10 scanners in Q2

Imatron has shipped 10 of its electron beam tomography (EBT) scanners in its second quarter (end-June 30). The shipments, a quarterly record for the South San Francisco, CA-based vendor, include an international sale to Xijing PLA Hospital in Xian, China.

The vendor also installed its first C-300 EBT scanner at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas. Imatron remains on track to meet its goal of 40 EBT sales during 2001, according to CEO Lewis Meyer.
