Contrast media maker E-Z-EM has signed an exclusive agreement to develop and market dedicated virtual colonoscopy software manufactured by Vital Images. E-Z-EM, of Westbury, NY, said it will also get a small equity position in Vital Images, headquartered in Minneapolis.
Vital Images’ Vitrea 2 software and Vitrea 2 CT colon option feature real-time navigation of 3-D volume data for virtual colonoscopy. E-Z-EM’s InnerviewGI 3-D imaging software is based on the Vital Images product.
