The National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) is hosting a symposium on CT radiation exposure this fall. The two-day event will be held November 6-7, 2002 at the Crystal City Marriott in Arlington, VA. There is no charge to attendees.
The purpose of the symposium is to develop recommendations for reducing radiation exposure while retaining the value of diagnostic CT exams, said Dr. Fred Mettler, Jr., chairman of the symposium and chief of radiology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Some 25 radiologists, physicists, radiographers, scientists, and public health officials will explore the problem and present possible solutions, the NCRP said.
Contact the NRCP for reservations.
