Virtual colonoscopy and contrast developer E-Z-EM has released EmpowerCTA, a double-barrel CT injector that can inject a saline chase following a contrast bolus. It can also aid in the detection of extravasations, according to the Lake Success, NY-based firm.
Based on the company’s EmpowerCT design, EmpowerCTA includes the design’s safety features and usability benefits, such as tilt sensor/lockout and arming at the injector head, E-Z-EM said. Customers can upgrade to EmpowerCTA from an existing EmpowerCT.
