Siemens Medical Solutions reported that it has installed its Somatom Definition dual-source CT system at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and the New York University Medical Center in New York City.
The Malvern, PA-based developer said the installations are the first of the new scanner in the U.S. The vendor expects to install more than 150 of the devices by the end of the year. To date, Siemens has made 10 installations of the scanner worldwide, according to the company.
