Austrian firm to supply circuits for Siemens CT

High-performance analog integrated circuit (IC) firm austriamicrosystems of Unterpremstaetten, Austria, will supply detector electronic ICs to Siemens Medical Solutions for the Erlangen, Germany-based company's newest CT system, Somatom Definition.

austriamicrosystems' optical interface readout IC is designed to acquire signals in real-time and digitize them for enhanced image quality and acquisition speed.
