Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, is expanding its education program. The company has added two advanced technologist courses in CT and MR at the Toshiba Education Center in Irvine, CA.
An advanced cardiac CT course for technologists focuses on cardiac anatomy and physiology with ECG and cardiac gating concepts. This three-day course is accredited for continuing education by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Education Foundation and uses the same protocol as the CorE64 clinical trial.
An advanced MR breast imaging course consists of two days of training on breast anatomy and physiology, patient preparation and positioning, and parameter selection. Advanced concepts include an overview of American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for breast MRI, evaluation of breast cancer, implant rupture, and the use of CAD.
Toshiba also has revamped the Toshiba Learning Center Web site, at www.toshibalearningcenter.com. The site now includes online continuing medical education (CME) courses, physician courses, and a section for medical articles.
