The American College of Radiology (ACR) has launched a program to certify physicians in performing cardiac CT studies.
The Reston, VA, society will offer the inaugural cardiac CT Certificate of Advanced Proficiency exam to all physicians who meet the requisite eligibility requirements and professional experience qualifications.
The examination will be given on a quarterly basis at the new ACR Education Center located on the ACR's campus. The four-hour exam will contain both a practical, case-based component, as well as a knowledge-based multiple-choice section.
