Computer-aided detection developer Rcadia Medical Imaging said it has achieved proof-of-concept with software that provides fully automated calcium scoring directly from coronary CT angiography studies.
The work-in-progress software is based on the company's COR Analyzer application for automatic detection of stenosis in coronary CT angiography studies. In a retrospective study of 215 patients, the software's automated calcium scoring method showed good correlation compared to Agatston scores obtained from nonenhanced calcium scoring studies, according to the firm.
