Imaging accessories developer Newmatic Medical has launched a new body covering designed in the form of a kitten or puppy that children can embrace, helping to comfort them as they undergo diagnostic imaging exams.
BravePal can be placed like a blanket on children during MRI, CT, and other imaging exams, the firm said. It conceals the protective restraints that pediatric patients must wear to limit their movement during imaging procedures.
The cover also features small pockets for warming devices that mimic the warmth and weight of hands to help comfort children as they undergo imaging procedures, Newmatic Medical said.
