Medical technology company Stryker and portable scanner developer NeuroLogica have partnered to promote and sell NeuroLogica's BodyTom portable full-body CT scanner.
With the exclusive partnership, Stryker will now promote and sell the scanner for neurosurgery, spine surgery, orthopedic surgery, and trauma surgery in conjunction with the Stryker Nav3i surgical navigation platform.
BodyTom is a portable, 32-slice, full-body CT scanner with an 85-cm gantry and 60-cm field-of-view. It can be combined with image-guided surgery to improve visualization and precision during minimally invasive surgical interventions.
NeuroLogica, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics America, will now focus on the development of new markets and clinical applications for BodyTom, along with its CereTom and inSPira HD portable imaging systems, the companies said.
