UCSF adds talks to radiation symposium

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) has added six new talks to its virtual meeting on CT radiation dose, bolstering its video library covering safe imaging with CT and fluoroscopy.

The virtual symposium features dozens of top speakers and scholars from academia, industry, and organizations that are committed to safe scanning at the lowest possible dose, meeting organizer Dr. Rebecca Smith-Bindman told AuntMinnie.com.

The new talks cover CT lung cancer screening, imaging for suspected kidney stones, factors driving the use of radiation during fluoroscopy procedures, and the Choosing Wisely campaign, among other topics.

UCSF's Virtual Symposium on Radiation Safety in Computed Tomography can be accessed on demand at no cost.
