The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the Z-Dose29 CT dose management software from Zetta Medical Technologies.
The package features networking protocols and connectivity algorithms that interact with CT scanners to record CT dose index (CTDI) and dose-length product (DLP) values. The software alerts technologists prior to scanning if any of the values exceed required thresholds, the company said.
Zetta developed Z-Dose29 to help clients comply with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) XR-29 standard.
