Mammography and orthopedic imaging firm Planmed has launched an upgraded version of its Verity conebeam CT (CBCT) extremity scanner.
The company has added new options for head and neck imaging to visualize smaller bone structures. The addition of Planmeca's correction algorithm for latent movement (CALM) technique is designed to eliminate the need for retakes by canceling the effects of patient movement.
With added feature of the Planmeca ultralow-dose radiation protocol, 3D imaging is enabled with less effective patient dose comparable with standard 2D imaging, according to Planmed.
