Image software and archiving firm Candelis has formed a distribution partnership with mammography and orthopedic imaging vendor Planmed.
Under the agreement, Planmed will offer Candelis' ImageGrid Mini PACS software to support image storage, review, and diagnosis on its Clarity S, Clarity 2D, and Clarity 3D digital mammography systems, as well as its Verity point-of-care extremity conebeam CT unit, according to the companies.
When used in combination with these Planmed offerings, ImageGrid Mini could serve as a miniPACS for image acquisition, viewing, and storage in small radiology facilities and remote radiologist offices, the vendors said. Furthermore, ImageGrid Mini could be utilized by radiologists at home or in their office or by small specialty clinics to manage all of their generated images, according to the firms.
