ClariPI is debuting its new artificial intelligence (AI) software, ClariCT.AI, at RSNA 2018.
ClariCT.AI is a vendor-neutral CT denoising software based on deep learning. The firm's graphics processing unit (GPU) Recon Engine clears CT noise selectively and turns an existing CT scan into an AI-empowered CT scan using only DICOM standard.
ClariCT.AI provides multiple deep-learning models pretrained with millions of images for differing organs at varying noise levels from most existing scanner models. This enables the software to distinguish anatomical structures from thousands of different noise patterns and to reconstruct noise-clean high-quality images without time-consuming iterations, the firm said.
The software reduces radiation exposure by 70% to 95%, according to ClariPI. Lesion details and anatomical structures at ultralow-dose scans as low as 5 mAs can be clearly uncovered with ClariCT.AI from strong noise and artifacts without distortion and plastic appearance, the firm added.
