Varian Medical Systems said that, under a two-year agreement, it will be supplying Imaging Sciences International with its PaxScan flat-panel digital image detectors for inclusion in Imaging Sciences' i-CAT conebeam 3D dental imaging product.
The i-CAT device provides dentists with 3D, digital imaging capabilities that enable them to plan treatments, position implants, and perform other dental procedures using images acquired at a lower radiation dose than is possible with higher-dose CT scanning techniques, according to Palo Alto, CA-based Varian.
