Siemens debuts magnetic navigation system

Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced its Axiom Artis dBC magnetic navigation system.

The system can be used either as a biplane angiography C-arm system or as a magnetic navigation system, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor. It is based on the firm's Axiom Artis dBC biplane angiography system and Siemens' Axiom Artis dFC magnetic navigation system.

The Cleveland Clinic of Ohio and Mother Frances Hospital of Tyler, TX, will be among the first facilities to install the system, Siemens said.
