Canadian digital x-ray developer Imaging Dynamics (IDC) has introduced a new dual-detector digital radiography (DR) system at the Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting in Orlando, FL. The Xplorer 2200 has a traditional two-bucky configuration, with one of its two detectors integrated into a fixed, elevating table with floating top, and the second detector on an upright wall mount.
The new configuration reduces the process and positioning adjustments that are sometimes necessary for single-detector systems, according to Calgary, Alberta-based IDC. Xplorer also includes a three-year detector warranty and IDC's passive trigger technology, which allows the system to be retrofitted into a department's existing x-ray equipment.
