Digital x-ray developer Bioptics of Tucson, AZ, has begun shipments of its piXarray 100 DR system, a mobile integrated specimen imaging system designed specifically for breast surgery.
The system uses a digital detector based on complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology, and features a 100 x 100-mm detector that outputs images to a local display and a DICOM network, according to Bioptics. The company said it is currently looking to establish luminary reference sites for the system.
