Breakaway launches O-arm

Surgical imaging system developer Breakaway Imaging will be releasing its O-arm imaging platform at the North American Spine Society (NASS) meeting, held September 27 through October 1 in Philadelphia.

The Littleton, MA-based vendor received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for the system in May. In other company news, Breakaway said it has received its first patent (No. 6,940,941), which protects the design of its telescoping gantry system.
