Array USA of Hampton, NH, is launching a new computed radiography system called Ipanema.
With a footprint of 19 x 21 inches, Ipanema is compatible with the DICOM Service Class User (SCU) protocol and features a 60-second total cycle time for a 14 x 17-inch imaging plate at standard diagnostic resolution. Ipanema also handles 14 x 14, 10 x 12, and 8 x 10 cassettes. All processing and reading takes place within a single, self-contained Ipanema unit.
Array expects to begin shipments of Ipanema in late spring 2006. Regulatory approvals are pending.
