(Booth 1809) Digital radiography (DR) developer Swissray International plans to highlight two works-in-progress in its RSNA booth.
The East Brunswick, NJ-based vendor plans to unveil Swissray DRive Kit, a flat-panel detector in a 17-inch format combined with the company's SwissVision image review software. The kit can be integrated into existing x-ray systems, and Swissray expects the package to be commercially available mid-2009.
Also highlighted will be a new portable DR detector, ddRPortable, which features an image area of 14 x 17 inches and is available either with cable or Wi-Fi data transfer. The company plans to market the detector in the first quarter of 2009, pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
Also on display will be the company's pediatric imaging package, which includes imaging algorithms designed for radiation dose reduction and patient position monitoring with a built-in video camera.
